INTEGRATED MARKETING & CREATIVE MANAGER
The primary role of the integrated marketing team is to support the advertising sales team in the generation of ad revenue by: (1) adding media expertise and creative thinking to the multi-media proposal process, (2) providing the insights, data and presentation materials needed to convey a compelling ad sales message, and (3) identifying new revenue opportunities that answer client needs and enhance the value of WSJ as a media partner. This position requires skills that include creative thinking, concept development, market intelligence and presentation design – all of which contribute to the delivery of successful advertising concepts.
§ Serve as a category specialist for the ad sales & marketing team in terms of marketing intelligence, comp etitive insights, client activity, etc. related to a specific industry segment (e.g., Luxury)
§ S upport advertising revenue growth across WSJ’s print, online and mobile platforms by conceptualizing and executing creative advertising concepts that meet advertisers’ needs
§ Manage responses to proposal requests from advertising clients and sales colleagues by coordinating facts, ideas and concepts from product managers and other relevant contributors across the company
§ Manage the flow of information and articulate ideas into proposals that are clear, cohesive and convincing

§ Identify growth sectors that can generate new revenue opportunities
§ Work closely with the sales teams to identify and implement new sales initiatives
§ Develop marketing communication tools that will be used by the global advertising sales team
§ Assist in the development of other marketing programs (e.g., media appreciation events) as needed to support the achievement of the company’s advertising sales objectives
§ Strong media and marketing background – print and online experience essential
§ 5 years of experience in an advertising marketing environment
§ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with proven experience of managing multiple stakeholders needs at one time
§ Ability to communicate clearly (written and verbal)
§ The ability to turn ideas and concepts into compelling executions
§ Creative thinking and flexible approach to projects
§ Results driven and customer focused with excellent attention to detail
§ Experience working within multinational corporations with a sensitivity to cultures and practices
§ Ability to focus and prioritize under tight deadlines
§ Willingness to participate in conference calls with overseas colleagues after regular business operating hours
§ University degree in business or marketing related subjects
§ Design capabilities (such as the use of Adobe InDesign software) would be a distinct advantage.
§ Fluent spoken and written English. Proficiency in Mandarin, Cantonese or Japanese would be an advantage.
