Responsibilities
- Screen daily Structure facility and/or Commodity applications for compliance with approved terms and conditions and manage deviation process handling.
- Check and ensure that applications are within activated facility limits.
- Ensure proper credit approval has been obtained for exception and ad hoc excess prior to releasing transaction for processing.
- Prepare approval checklists in accordance with the client's Summary Control Sheet via Transaction Movement Sheet (TMS) to seek team head approval.
- Control of the margin account to ensure that funds held are sufficient as proposed and approved.
- Follow up with monitoring requirements to ensure successful end-to-end transaction completion
- Report of exceptions, irregularities and suspicious transactions
- Liaise closely with Operation team to facilitate turning around of the transactions in an efficient and effective manner
- Perform mark-to-market valuation and monitoring security margin requirements
- Ensure that loan to collateral ratios are being observed. Otherwise. Escalate to the appropriate parties for necessary action
- Control of the escrow accounts to ensure funds are only released to repay our import financing
- Lead, manage and control the operation of the team to ensure delivery of efficient and good quality products and services at cost effective prices to internal and external customers, without any compromise to risk control
- Achieve cost reduction by constantly reviewing and improving work and control process.
- Deliver efficient and good quality products and services to internal and external customers in accordance with the service standards
- Ensure compliance of system and control procedures in line with internal procedures, polices and guidelines
Requirements
- Degree holder with at least 5 years experience in Structured and Commodity Trade Middle Office or/and 10 year relevant experience in Structure Trade & Commodity backroom operation experience
- Resourceful, independent and reliable
- Familiar with knowledge of Trade Finance risk and fraud
- Meticulous and organized
- Excellent communicator - spoken and written
- Confidently and effectively deal with business partners and other stakeholders
- Sound knowledge in Trade Finance system and related Operations matters will be advantage
