Job Description
My client is an international financial services giant who are looking to recruit a qualified Legal & Compliance Counsel for Tokyo. This role will have responsibility for providing advice to the business units in Japan, with a reporting line to the Regional General Counsel in Hong Kong.
You will provide legal advice on a daily and project basis. The day to day work will involve drafting and reviewing legal documentation such as general commercial contracts, agent agreements and outsourcing agreements, as well as reviewing new and revised product offerings.
This role will work closely with the Compliance team, providing advice on changes of law and regulatory trends. You will also provide assistance on corporate governance matters.
The ideal candidate for this position will be qualified either in Japan or a commonlaw jurisdiction such as Australia, the UK, the US. You will have knowledge of the financial services industry, preferably with regulatory knowledge relating to financial services. An excellent salary package is on offer to the successful candidate.
