Job Description
It is due to this growth that my client requires an AVP for their Deposits and Remittance operation in Singapore. Your background will be primarily within the remittance space and you will have a full working knowledge of SWIFT and MEPS payments. The role will be supervising up to 8 operations staff within the department, so managerial experience is a prerequisite. You will also be fully adverse in the Giro/eGiro and clearing side of the business.
The department is responsible for client accounts, cash management and inward and outward remittances. You will be hands on in your approach, dealing with daily transactions relating to the payment types mentioned above. The department will also handle any investigation required for unmatched items on the nostro and non-cover of funds. You will have experience in FX quotation, cheque clearing for USD and SGD and inward/outward remittance verification.
Reporting into the head of the department, you will be tertiary educated, have a minimum of 7 years relevant experience in remittance and payments with solid management experience. You will identify and implement any operational improvements to improve and optimise efficiency, offering guidance and support to the team during any change initiative.
