
Job description and responsibilities: You will already be recognised as a senior practitioner in the industrial products industry, with at least 9 years combined experience in management consulting and industry. As Senior Manager, with our expanding team you will have a broad spectrum of responsibilities centred on selling interesting Operations Consulting projects, leading the delivery of great client work and further growing and helping develop an already talented team.
You will have proven capabilities in one of the following four areas and will have the ability to work across these areas when necessary: - Product Development
Market and customer analysis, planning, product development process and methods, including design to cost, complexity management and program management.
- Sales and Marketing
Brand strategy and channel strategy, sales and distribution network optimisation, sales force effectiveness, after-market sales and customer service, customer profitability analysis.
- Supply Chain Management
In- and out-bound logistics, supply base improvement, strategic sourcing, inventory control, supply chain planning and process restructuring, supply network design, plant location and manufacturing footprint design.
- Manufacturing Excellence
Lean, Six Sigma, production planning and control, methods engineering, product cost accounting and management. As part of a larger team, you will have the experience and flexibility to apply your experience in other sectors. Requirements: Sell Interesting Projects You will have developed excellent working relationships at the middle management to senior level in industrial products companies and the experience of playing a key role in new business development (e.g. qualifying leads, scoping engagements and preparing high quality proposals). You will work closely with Partners, Directors and Associate Directors to develop new client relationships and manage existing accounts.
Deliver Great Client Work Our team has established a list of significant client accounts that trust us to solve management issues that their managers find challenging. Solving these issues, delivering real results and impressing our client's teams is the most important aspect of our work. You will have the respect of clients and peers for your knowledge, technical expertise, and quality of output. You will have proven capabilities managing small to medium-sized engagements as well as significant workstreams of large full lifecycle projects (from assessment and design to implementation). You must be comfortable working in mixed experience, multi-cultural engagement teams.
Grow Our Talented Team Our team plans to keep growing at 30-40% per year which requires that we recruit more talented members, many direct from industry, and at various levels of seniority. We also invest heavily in coaching our teams to learn both basic and advanced consulting skills and deepen their knowledge of practices. Every one of our team has an actively managed career and you will bring a demonstrable ability in staff recruitment, on-boarding and development both during engagements and as a part of taking formal career coach responsibilities.
Education Requirement: - Bachelor's degree from a top university, preferred in Engineering, Science, or Mathematics
- MBA is preferred but not essential
- Professional certifications (e.g. Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, APICS CPIM, PMP) an advantage
- English and Chinese are both essential
